O:TU Wines

The sound of the nearby surf, a chill in the air and magic in the earth.

That's the home of O:TU - a special coastline on the edge of Marlborough where our wines move to their own distinctive beat.

The roar of the nearby Clifford Bay surf carries to O:TU's six vineyard blocks, all found in the south-eastern Awatere Valley in the famous Marlborough wine region of New Zealand.

Here, the winding Otuwhero (Oh-too-fare-oh) river and coastal breezes make for a long, cool, growing season; producing bold Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes which inspire us to craft distinctive and memorable Marlborough wines.

Our first O:TU wines were released in 2006 and were an immediate hit with wine drinkers and connoisseurs alike.

More recently a group of international wine lovers recognised O:TU's unrealised promise and were inspired to support the creation of these special wines.

The chance to create something a bit different attracted acclaimed international winemaker Jan Kux who, as winemaker and general manager, is responsible for crafting these bold, appealing wines.

While the initial focus was solely on premium Sauvignon Blanc, O:TU has already added a Pinot Noir to the range, with other varietals planned to follow.

Music Bay

Our Music Bay series come from New Zealand’s top wine regions, world-renowned for unique flavours and textures. Here in New Zealand the seasons are quite different from other parts of the world due to the influences of the mountain ranges and the moderating coastal breezes, creating clean, vibrant, invigorating wines with a very distinctive character.

Blessed with a pleasant climate and clean environment in this magic land, we are able to explore winemaking with clearer notes and deeper vitality. The Music Bay series, just like the four seasons, has four different compositions to suit your mood throughout a whole year.

Music Bay Spring is bright and confident, with lighter alcohol and clear, crisp notes that evoke new beginnings.

Or invite your friends to a Music Bay Summer, and enjoy the full tropical flavours and aromas of a late summer night out on the lawn.

Music Bay Autumn is as rich and opulent as the last harvest before bright gold leaves gently fall to the ground, a special pleasure to share with families.

And sometimes you may like to shut the doors and snuggle into the warmth and softness of Music Bay Winter Merlot.

Music Bay captures the seasonal characteristics of New Zealand’s unique vineyards, putting a new spin on an old song that never goes out of style.
